Website Management

Your Site, Always
Running Right

Monthly care plans for WordPress and Webflow sites. Plugin updates, security patches, performance monitoring, and content edits — handled before anything breaks, not after. We keep the site we build for you, or any site you bring to us, running at its best.

99.9% uptime SLA — we are alerted before you notice anything is wrong

We monitor every managed site around the clock. If your site goes down, we receive an immediate alert and begin resolution — you are notified, not left to discover it yourself. 99.9% uptime means less than 9 hours of downtime per year. Hosting is not included in management fees unless agreed separately — we can manage hosting on Cloudflare Pages, WP Engine, or Vercel, quoted per site.

What's Included

Everything a site
needs to stay healthy

Website problems rarely announce themselves. They accumulate quietly — an outdated plugin, a missed security patch, a growing page weight — until something breaks. These are the things we handle before that happens.

Monthly · All plans

Plugin & Core Updates

WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates applied monthly — tested in a staging environment before being pushed live. Outdated plugins are the most common cause of site vulnerabilities and broken functionality.

Continuous · All plans

Security Monitoring

Malware scanning, firewall rules, and login attempt monitoring. Vulnerabilities flagged and patched before they can be exploited. For WordPress sites, this includes WAF configuration and brute-force protection.

24/7 · All plans

Uptime Monitoring

Round-the-clock automated checks. We are notified the moment your site becomes unreachable — typically before any visitor notices. Response begins immediately with a resolution notification sent to you.

Monthly · All plans

Performance Checks

Monthly Core Web Vitals review — LCP, INP, CLS — with a plain-English report. If performance has degraded, we identify the cause and apply fixes: image compression, caching rules, script defer, or CDN configuration.

Monthly allowance · All plans

Content Updates

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of content editing time. Text changes, image swaps, new staff entries, updated pricing or service copy — submitted via a shared task board, actioned within 2 business days.

Monthly Report

A concise monthly summary: uptime percentage, updates applied, security scan results, Core Web Vitals scores, and any actions taken. Plain English — not a 40-page PDF full of jargon.

Platforms We Manage

Wf
Webflow
Designer & CMS sites

Webflow-hosted sites are more inherently stable than WordPress — no plugin ecosystem, no database vulnerabilities. But they still benefit from ongoing performance monitoring, content editing support, and the ability to publish CMS changes quickly without needing Webflow access yourself.

CMS content updates and new collection entries
Page performance and Core Web Vitals monitoring
Custom code review for third-party script conflicts
Form submission and integration monitoring
Uptime checks and Webflow incident response

Our Management Standards

What we always do

The standard every managed site is held to

Every client, every plan — these are the non-negotiables that define what website management actually means at Maroon Pixel.

Test every plugin update on a staging environment before pushing to live
Alert you immediately if uptime monitoring detects an outage
Run a full backup before any update cycle begins
Deliver a plain-English monthly report — not dashboard screenshots
Apply content edits within 2 business days of submission
Flag upcoming PHP or platform end-of-life dates before they affect you
Review Core Web Vitals monthly and act on regressions
Maintain a full task log so you always know what was done and when
What we never do

The shortcuts that turn small problems into big ones

Reactive website maintenance is always more expensive than proactive care. These are the habits we exclude by default — practices that look like savings until something breaks in production at the worst possible moment.

Update plugins directly on the live site without a backup or staging test
Ignore failing security scans or dismiss plugin vulnerability alerts
Charge for issues that resulted from our own update process
Let PHP or platform versions fall into end-of-life without notifying you
Apply "1 hour content updates" label to structural redesigns or new builds
Go silent after an incident — every outage gets a post-incident summary
Send auto-generated reports that nobody reads — every report is written

How It Works

Onboarded in a
week, covered ongoing

Getting a site onto a care plan is straightforward. We audit your current setup, fix any immediate issues, configure monitoring and backups, and then move into the steady rhythm of ongoing management.

01

Site Audit

We review your current setup: platform version, plugin health, security status, Core Web Vitals, and existing backup configuration. Any critical issues are flagged immediately — before the plan officially begins.

Day 1–2
02

Setup & Baseline

Monitoring tools configured, backups scheduled, staging environment set up (Business and Growth plans), and any urgent vulnerabilities patched. We establish your performance baseline before any ongoing work begins.

Day 2–5
03

Monthly Update Cycle

Each month: backup taken, plugins and core updated on staging, tested, then deployed to live. Performance checks run. Content edit requests processed. Monthly report drafted and sent. Recurring, reliable, documented.

Continuous Monitoring

Between update cycles, uptime monitoring and security scanning run continuously. If anything triggers an alert — an outage, a failed scan, a suspicious login attempt — we respond immediately and you are notified.

FAQ

Common
questions

Straight answers about what's included, what's not, and what to expect.

What does "1 hour content updates" mean?
Minor text changes, image swaps, or small additions — updating a team member's bio, changing a phone number, swapping a homepage banner image. Structural redesigns, new page builds, or significant layout changes are separate projects. If you're unsure whether something falls within the allowance, just ask before submitting.
What's the 99.9% uptime SLA?
We monitor your site 24/7 using automated uptime checks. If your site becomes unreachable, we receive an immediate alert and begin resolution — you don't have to discover it via a customer complaint. 99.9% uptime equals less than 9 hours of downtime per year. This SLA covers response time, not network infrastructure outside our control (e.g., a hosting provider outage).
Do I need this if my site was just built?
For WordPress sites: yes, within 3 months of launch. Plugins begin receiving updates the day after you launch — without a management plan, those updates stack up unreviewed until something breaks. Webflow-hosted sites need less maintenance by nature, but still benefit from performance monitoring and content editing support as you add and update content over time.
Is hosting included in the management fee?
No — hosting is billed separately and is not part of the management fee unless specifically agreed. We can manage hosting on your behalf using Cloudflare Pages, WP Engine, or Vercel, quoted per site. If you have existing hosting, we work with it. If your current host is contributing to performance problems, we'll tell you directly.
What platforms do you manage?
We manage WordPress (including WooCommerce) and Webflow sites. Custom React or Next.js sites are handled under a separate scope — contact us to discuss. Squarespace and Wix sites are not supported, as those platforms do not allow the level of access required for meaningful maintenance.
