Pixel & Analytics Setup

Know Exactly
What's Working

GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and Conversions API — set up correctly, verified end-to-end, and GDPR-compliant. Running ads without proper tracking is burning money on guesswork. We fix that before you spend a penny.

This service is a prerequisite for paid advertising — don't run ads without it

Running ads without proper conversion tracking means you cannot accurately measure ROAS, identify which campaigns generate real revenue, or let the ad platform algorithm optimise toward conversions. You are spending money without knowing what is working. We strongly recommend a complete analytics setup before any paid ad spend begins. For EU visitors, all setups include GA4 IP anonymisation and Consent Mode v2 — GDPR-compliant by default, not as an afterthought.

Tools We Configure

Every tracking layer
your business needs

Accurate data doesn't come from installing a snippet. It comes from setting up each tool correctly, verifying every event fires as expected, and making sure attribution holds up even when ad blockers and iOS privacy restrictions are working against you.

One-off setup · All packages

Google Analytics 4

GA4 property creation, data stream setup, and event configuration. Enhanced measurement enabled, custom events mapped to your conversion goals, and IP anonymisation active for EU compliance. Universal Analytics was retired July 2024 — if you haven't migrated, your data has gaps.

One-off setup · All packages

Google Tag Manager

GTM container setup and deployment. All tags managed through a single container — GA4, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, and any other scripts — keeping your site code clean and giving you full control over what fires and when. Loaded asynchronously with no impact on Core Web Vitals.

One-off setup · Standard & Full packages

Meta Pixel

Meta Pixel installed via GTM with standard events configured: PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, Purchase, Lead. Verified in Meta Events Manager and tested against your actual conversion flow — not just a snippet pasted into a header.

One-off setup · Full package

Meta Conversions API

Server-side conversion data sent directly from your server to Meta — bypassing ad blockers and the iOS attribution gaps introduced by Apple's App Tracking Transparency. CAPI runs alongside the browser-side Pixel for deduplication, significantly improving reported conversion accuracy for Meta campaigns.

One-off setup · Standard & Full packages

Google Ads Conversion Tracking

Google Ads conversion actions configured and linked to GA4. Phone call tracking, form submission events, purchase values, and enhanced conversions where applicable. Without this, Google's Smart Bidding has no signal to optimise toward — your campaigns run blind.

One-off · Add-on

Tracking Audit

Already have tracking in place but not confident it's working correctly? A one-time audit reviews every tag, event, and conversion configuration — identifying misfiring events, duplicate tracking, missing conversions, and attribution gaps. Delivered as a prioritised fix list, not just a technical report.

Why It Matters

01
Ad Spend Without Data Is Wasted

Without conversion tracking, ad platforms can't tell which campaigns, audiences, or creatives generate leads or revenue. Smart Bidding optimises toward the wrong goal — or no goal at all.

02
iOS & Ad Blockers Broke Browser Tracking

Apple's ATT framework and ad blockers now prevent a significant share of browser-side conversion signals from reaching Meta and Google. Server-side tracking via CAPI recovers what the Pixel misses.

03
UA Is Gone — GA4 Is Not Optional

Universal Analytics was permanently retired by Google on 1 July 2024. Any business still relying on UA data or running without a correctly configured GA4 property has blind spots in their traffic and conversion reporting.

04
GDPR Consent Mode Is Now Required

Google's Consent Mode v2 is mandatory for businesses using Google Ads or GA4 to target EU users. Without it, your ad personalisation and conversion modelling are restricted — and you risk non-compliance.

Our Tracking Standards

What we always do

The standard every setup is verified against

Installing tags is easy. Verifying they fire correctly against real user journeys is where most setups fail. These are the non-negotiables for every implementation we deliver.

Test every conversion event end-to-end against the live site before handover
Verify events in GA4 DebugView, GTM Preview mode, and platform event managers
Configure GA4 IP anonymisation and consent mode v2 for all EU-facing setups
Set up CAPI deduplication to prevent double-counting conversions
Document every tag, trigger, and variable in GTM with clear naming conventions
Deliver a handover document: what was set up, what each event tracks, how to verify it
Link GA4 to Google Ads and Google Search Console before delivery
Flag any existing tracking conflicts or legacy scripts that should be removed
What we never do

The shortcuts that leave your data unreliable

Bad tracking is often worse than no tracking — it gives you confidence in numbers that are wrong. These are the practices we exclude, because incorrect data leads to incorrect decisions.

Deliver a setup without verifying events fire correctly on the live site
Install duplicate pixels that inflate conversion counts
Leave old Universal Analytics tags firing alongside GA4
Configure CAPI without deduplication — double-counted conversions distort ROAS
Ignore existing tracking conflicts from legacy third-party scripts
Skip consent mode configuration for EU traffic — GDPR compliance is not optional
Hand over a GTM container with unnamed or undocumented tags

How It Works

From access
to verified live

A four-stage process from access to handover. Every step is documented — so you know exactly what was installed, what each event tracks, and how to verify it yourself going forward.

01

Discovery & Access

We review your existing setup — what's already installed, what's misfiring, and what's missing entirely. Access requested to GA4, GTM, Google Ads, and Meta Business Manager. Any legacy conflicts flagged before new implementation begins.

Day 1
02

Implementation

GA4 configured, GTM container built, all pixels and tags deployed via GTM. Conversion events mapped to your actual goals — not generic placeholders. CAPI server-side connection established for Full Stack packages. Consent mode configured for EU traffic.

Day 2–6
03

Verification

Every event tested end-to-end: GTM Preview mode, GA4 DebugView, Meta Events Manager, Google Ads conversion testing. We walk through your actual conversion flow — form submissions, purchases, phone clicks — confirming each event fires correctly with the right values.

Day 6–7
04

Handover

Full documentation delivered: what was installed, how each tag is structured, what each conversion event represents, and how to verify it yourself. GA4 linked to Google Ads and Search Console. You leave with complete understanding and control of your own data.

Day 7–10

FAQ

Common
questions

Straight answers about tracking, attribution, and what these tools actually do for your business.

Why do I need GA4 if I have Universal Analytics?
Universal Analytics was permanently retired by Google on 1 July 2024. It is no longer recording data. GA4 is now the only Google Analytics standard — if you haven't migrated, or if your GA4 setup was rushed during the transition, your analytics have gaps that affect every decision you make from traffic to conversion reporting.
What is the Meta Conversions API?
CAPI sends conversion data directly from your server to Meta — bypassing ad blockers and the iOS attribution restrictions introduced by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. It runs alongside the browser-side Pixel (not instead of it), with deduplication configured so conversions are not double-counted. For businesses spending meaningfully on Meta Ads, it significantly improves reported ROAS and campaign optimisation accuracy.
Can you audit my existing tracking setup?
Yes. The Tracking Audit ($149) reviews every tag, event, and conversion configuration in your current setup — identifying misfiring events, duplicate tracking, missing conversions, legacy conflicts, and GDPR compliance gaps. Delivered as a prioritised fix report, not just a technical document. If you proceed to a full setup, the audit fee is credited toward it.
Will this affect my website speed?
GTM is loaded asynchronously and does not block page rendering. Properly configured — which means all tags firing through GTM rather than hardcoded into your site — it adds negligible load time and can actually improve performance by consolidating and controlling what fires. We follow Google's recommended implementation patterns to ensure no impact on Core Web Vitals.
Is this service GDPR compliant?
Yes. All setups include GA4 IP anonymisation, Consent Mode v2 configuration for EU users, and GTM trigger rules that respect cookie consent status — no tracking fires until consent is granted for EU visitors. We do not configure tracking that bypasses consent requirements. A cookie consent banner (Cookiebot or Complianz recommended) is required separately — we can advise on implementation if you don't have one.
